Prep 5 Visit to the British Museum
Prep 5 pupils enjoyed a visit to the British Museum as part of their topic on ancient Greece.
Exploring the range of artefacts on display and taking part in interactive workshops, pupils learnt about the culture and civilisation of the Ancient Greeks as well as the Elgin Marbles.
A highlight of the visit was the opportunity for pupils to dress up as Ancient Greeks, putting themselves in the shoes of Athenian citizens in the 5th century BC. They also had a go at role play and decision making, taking a vote on how the money gathered througout the Greek Empire should be spent.
It was a fantastic visit which inspired pupils and brought their topic to life.
