Computer Science Trip to Japan
Ibstock’s inaugural Tokyo trip brought 32 Computer Science pupils from Senior 10 to Upper Sixth Form on an unforgettable journey of computer science, culture and robotics.
Pupils explored AI, robotics, and hands-on coding, while cultural visits featured Takeshita Street, Shibuya Crossing, Meiji Shrine, and Kamakura. They also impressed Tokyo’s experts with their coding talent at the Shingawa Coding Lab.
More highlights included visits to esports centres, VR simulators, the Dawn Avatar Robot Café, and premier science museums. The trip ended with inspiring stops at TeamLab museum and Fuji TV, blending tradition and innovation, sparking new passions.
Pupils returned with broadened perspectives and lasting memories.
