Prep 2 Trip to the Florence Nightingale Museum
A fantastic visit to the Florence Nightingale Museum captured the imagination of our Prep 2 pupils, taking them back to life during the Crimean War.
Florence shared fascinating details about her life and the harsh reality of hospitals before her influence. Pupils also learned how she helped save thousands of injured soldiers through her attention to cleanliness in hospitals.
As well as looking at all the artefacts and objects from Florence’s time, they had great fun dressing up as nurses and soldiers, and spotting differences between nurses today and during the 1850s. The children loved the hands-on learning experiences and thoroughly enjoyed their trip.
