World Book Day 2026
Celebrating Books, Imagination and the Joy of Reading!
Pupils and staff enjoyed a fantastic week celebrating books and reading across the school as part of World Book Week. Lunchtime storytelling sessions were a particular highlight, giving pupils the chance to relax and enjoy listening to a variety of stories read by the Senior School’s Reading Ambassadors, who kindly spent their time to visit the Pre-Prep and Prep.
Throughout the week, pupils also took part in a range of fun competitions, including ‘Where’s Wally?’ and ‘Find the Golden Ticket.’ The Fun House Quiz tested everyone’s book knowledge, with pupils showing excellent teamwork within their houses. The winning team will be announced on Monday. Classes also showed wonderful creativity in the ‘Decorate the Door’ competition, transforming their classroom doors into imaginative, book-themed displays. It was a fantastic week filled with imagination, creativity and a shared love of reading. The pupils and staff looked incredible their costumes! A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the celebrations so special, and a special thank you to Miss Wilkie for organising such a brilliant week.
